Staples Wool Mill is a cottage mill, focused on processing small orders. Our goal is to provide excellent results with timely turnaround for small producers and customers who prefer to purchase their own wool and enjoy special blends.
Our fiber story actually began in 2017 when we added Finnshsheep and Gotlands to our small, eclectic herd of dairy sheep, Icelandic-Jacob crosses, and have since Teeswaters. Customer interest in our sheep and wool launched Twisted Fleece, and years later, Staples Wool Mill. I admit, hanging out with the sheep is still my favorite part of it all!

Our Wool Growers
Our small herd of Gotland and Teeswater sheep provide beautiful lustrous silky curls to play with!
As producers, exquisite wool is one quality we focused on for years as a producer, and
Twisted Fleece provided lovely stock for producers around the country!

Staples Wool Mill
The Wool Mill officially opened for business in May, 2025, and provides wool processing services for folks with smaller quantities. By limiting order sizes, we aim to provide a quicker turnaround than other mills are able to.

Mill Products
We currently have some lovely gray Gotland roving, brown & cream variegated East Friesian-Gotland cross roving, and beautiful brown Corriedale roving. We will continue to offer raw and washed fleeces, a limited variety of bundled staples, beautiful pelts, and fun sheepish goodies!
